"The Clutter Cure" by Judi Culbertson (Adobe PDF eBook)

This is a great book for anyone like me who comes from a long line of packrats and hoarders. The author writes as if she knows your secrets (why are you saving twist ties for goodness sakes!) and has come up with great questions to ask yourself about why you are tied to objects. There are lists that help you figure out what things mean to you and how to get past that connection, or how to deal with it in a more reasonable way. It would be especially useful for listing a home for the generation of Depression Era folks who believed in “waste not, want not." (Member Review)

"The Digital Economy" by Don Tapscott (MobiPocket)

When I started reading this book I quickly realized is that it was critically out of date. With the copyright date of 1996 the examples in the technology and the concepts in it were very dated. Well this probably was a good read a dozen years ago, reading it now is probably a waste of time. (Member Review)

I thought I knew what Feng shui was about but I quickly realized there's so much more involved. Feng shui isn't just for creating a serene atmosphere by lighting candles, arranging furniture or painting walls certain colors to provide a desired atmosphere. The Learning Annex Presents Feng Shui with Meihwa Lin provides loads of information and tools to create a satisfying life. She teaches in detailed how applying feng shui in your home or your office space can affect your health, wealth and even your relationships. I think this study guide is a great educational supplement for anyone who's already experience in the art of feng shui but also provide helpful tips for a skeptic beginner like me. (DW)

"Managing Debt for Dummies" by John Ventura (Adobe PDF eBook)

I remember when the Dummies series first came out, and I thought it was a rather insulting title for a book for people to pick up and read. Now many years later the series is firmly entrenched in our culture. The books do an extremely good job of laying out the basics in very easy to understand terms on a number of topics. Managing Debt for Dummies by John Ventura gives you everything you need to know about getting your finances in order as well as saving for the future. It is a very insightful read for a varity of issues and situations. (VB)

"Patricia Fripp on How to Treat People" (OverDrive Video)

Average: 3 (3 votes)

This is one of three short videos from her appearance at the 2006 NAR Midyear Information Services Forum. In this video she emphasizes the importance of treating both millionaires and "hundred-aires" equally well. She says that those with less exercise their "sphere of influence" on a greater number of people. In short, don't forget that all interactions are important and can influence your sales career. "Blog Marketing" by Jeremy Wright (Adobe PDF eBook)

4
Average: 4 (5 votes)

Blogging for business is nothing new, but sometimes it is hard to figure out where to start and what to include. "Blog Marketing" by Jeremy Wright is a good, easy to read introduction to the basics of blogging, how to get in the right mindset, and what you need to avoid as a business blogger. The book gives tips on how to deal with negative feedback and gives model guidelines for a company blogging policy. The book also discusses how some major corporations use blogging. The downside: this is a 320+ page PDF that no one should attempt to read cover to cover on a computer screen. I would say the best use for this eBook would be to review it to see if it's worth purchasing as a paper copy from your bookstore or if there is a particular topic or chapter you want to browse.(DS)

"Unleashing the Soul of Money" by Lynne Twist (OverDrive Audio Book)

3
Average: 3 (2 votes)

At first, I wasn't too sure I'd like this audio book...it was a little too "earthy" for me. But, once I made my way through the intro music (drum beating, and all) and actually listened to what Lynne Twist had to say, the book was well worth the time (2 hours, 38 minutes). Unleashing the Soul of Money will likely strike a special chord with those of us in eternal pursuit of "more" and Twist shows us how to change our tune for the better. Twist starts by sharing -- and dispelling -- the three great myths about money and then explains how to move from a "you OR me" world to a "you AND me" world -- a world in which we can all live in harmony with "enough". She further illustrates how letting go of the chase for "more" frees up energy to make a difference with what we already have. And the difference we make with what we already have expands exponentially in our lives, making an impact on the world. Yes, this audio book sounds a bit like a counseling session; but don't let that deter you. Just think of it as a personal "wealth workshop" and you might just come out of it a wealthier person...in more than one way!(MM)

"Life's Missing Instruction Manual" by Joe Vitale (Adobe eBook)

4.333335
Average: 4.3 (3 votes)

With chapter titles that read like an instruction manual, Joe Vitale's "Life's Missing Instruction Manual: The Guidebook You Should Have Been Given at Birth” is an insightful - and often humorous - book that offers the reader helpful lessons for use in their everyday lives. The book is broken down into eight chapters, with each focusing on a different aspect of one's life, and contains anecdotal stories and examples on how to put the lessons in it to work. An enjoyable and quick read, this book is structured so that it may be read out of sequence, and so that one can easily refer back to and reread a particularly insightful passage if desired.(CD)
