Say It Like Obama: The Power of Speaking with Purpose and Vision is a dense and very well documented piece about President Obama’s speeches that he has made during his political career. It not only delves into how he structured the speeches, but also the physicality of how he presented them. By looking individually at each gesture, smile and pause, the reader is able to fully appreciate the speech and the technical masterpiece that each one was. I fully enjoyed this book, and though I found it to be very intense, it fully delivers what it promises at the beginning, to both educate the reader on what makes a great speech (which is not only comprised of the words), and remind him or her about how inspiring Obama’s words really are.
